Finally....

It's taken about three yearS to get around the my project of painting our front door. I had to get permission from our HOA, which was my excuse of why it was taking so long, but really I just wasn't motivated enough to get around to it! Finally sent in the papers and got the go ahead to do the door. What a difference a coat of paint can't make.... I feel like I have a new house haha.... It was easy and quick. Sanded the door down first to remove all the lumps and bumps from tape and other seasonal stuff that had been on the door. I gave it a couple of coats because I love when the paint is thick and covers everything.  I was finally able to hang a cute wreath up!  It changed the way our house looks from the street - I love it!

Something I Loved

Its funny how our tastes a styles change over time.  This is a picture of a window frame that I loved.  I still think its cute but decided to sell it after having it for years.  I find my taste in home decor really swinging from traditional and country to clean, contemporary and classic!  I have been extreemly unmotivated to do stuff with my house.  No interest in decorating, not interest in shopping, want to purge and get rid of EVERYTHING....I have thought of moving houses just so I can start over - clean slate - Ive even thought of lighting the house on fire....Im joking....I haven't.  It's just overwheleming but I have for sure changed my style and what appeals to me.  This beautiful pressed flower window frame now belongs to someone else that will give it love and a new home.

Christmas Table

Ive wanted Christmas dishes for a couple of years.  Something that was classic and would last for years.  I bought these from our bishops wife.  They got them as a wedding gift and only used them once.  They had a whole large set in a tupperware box.  I love them.  I'm so excited to use these for years to come.

We live here

Thought it would be fun to have this picture of where we live.  This is where we spend most of our time, in the kitchen and living room.  It's not perfect and its most often un kept but its HOME and I love it.

Garage Sale find

Oh, how happy I feel when I finally get around to a project that has been long overdue. I bought this shelf, bookcase thing-a-ma-jig at a sale for $10 - woohooo.....I saw it had potential even though the corner was beaten up. And....it sat in my pile of projects in the garage for months! I finally got motivated to organize our bathroom. So I hauled it out, sanded it down a little, fixed the beaten corner with wood filler, patiently waited (overnight...ugh I hate waiting...) and painted it.  Of course I distressed it, because I pretty much distress everything!  I love how it turned out and it got me motivated to repaint the cabinet door I had outside and turned it into a jewelery rack.  I found some "HIS" & "HERS" hooks at Rod Works that were perfect.  I still need to organize some other parts of the bathroom, like my hair and makeup junk but this is a great start!

Let Freedom Ring

I love decorating for holidays. Growing up in Ireland, we didn't decorate houses except for Christmas. The table in our foyer is a rotating holiday table of sorts. It's fun and keeps the house fresh. I especially love 4th of July decor. I love America! I love the words of the Star Spangled Banner. I love to honor the freedom we enjoy in this great country.
God Bless America!!!!
